Why do I keep getting warnings about the number of days left in the trial period?

I've just bought and downloaded Acobat 11 Pro but I still keep getting treated as if I had only downloaded the trial version. In other words, I keep getting the popups telling me that I have so many days left before the free trial version expires. Also one update was refused, I believe, on account of this.
