I installed the trial version of adobe acrobat XI Pro, but it's still not allowing me to do anything .. like convert PDF to Word, etc.

I installed the trial version of adobe acrobat XI Pro which took approx. 6 hrs, but it's still not allowing me to do anything .. like convert PDF to Word, etc.  When I try to download it again, I am prompted that it is already installed.  Any suggestions will be appreciated.
